Dutch Synthesizer band, started in 1979 with Peter Kommers and Ruud van Es. They used their first names to make the name of the band. Later Rob Rapen and Jos van de Dungen joined the band. Beside the name PERU they also used [a=Nova (2)] for their more commercial work. In 1982 they made a number one hit Aurora. In 1988 they made another hit, called Africa. Songs from the album Continents where used by Bassie & Adriaan in the series “het geheim van de schatkaart” as background music.
