Belgian MC from Liège, Belgium. Born in Lubumbashi (Congo) in 1978, he lived in Kinshasa, and then arrived in Belgium in 1982, first Ostende and later Liège. He started to get known in the hip hop circle thanks to the compilation "Fidèles au Vinyl", released in 1993 (1000 copies). He followed his MC career in the Liège crew "Malfrats Linguistiques", later renamed to "Starflam". Balo left [a=Starflam] around 2003 and released his first solo album "Hotel Impala" in 2007, under the name of [a=Baloji]. "Hotel Impala" received excellent critics in Belgium and France.
